In this book we detail some superb walks around a truly wondrous area. The routes, most recently researched by us during 2005, range from 6 to 17.5 kilometres in distance, offering over 120 kilometres of walking with something for all - some routes high level, some lower. All will take you into places to encounter lesser-known aspects of the fascinating culture and history of the region as well as providing great opportunities to experience a fantastic variety of flora and fauna. At the end of each walk description we have included a couple of pages for your notes and observations.
We have provided tips and common-sense advice as well as images of and information about durable landmarks and points of reference you will see en route.
The book itself is of the highest printed quality, consisting of 128 pages bound within a matt laminated cover and illustrated throughout with colour photography and detailed maps. You will not need separate GPS systems or maps and compass to follow our routes, though some wider area maps may be helpful - to enable you to orient the fabulous views! And, as we said earlier, none of our walks are 'technical' or precipitous.
Finally, being a 210mm X 100mm portrait format, it’s an ideal size for a walking trouser pocket!
